Section I · Plain-Language Briefing

The Short Summary & Zero-Cookie Rule

Before we set out the full legal articles under United Kingdom data protection law, here is how FlintVolley works in plain words and short sentences.

Six Short Facts About Your Privacy on FlintVolley

  • 1. You don't need an account. You can read our match guides and explore every arena without signing up, typing your name or giving us your email address.
  • 2. We use zero cookies. We do not put any cookies or hidden files on your phone, tablet or computer. Because we don't use cookies, we never need to interrupt you with a cookie banner.
  • 3. We don't track you. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or profiling tools. We don't follow what you click or build a profile about you.
  • 4. Your browser sends basic connection data. Whenever you open any website, your browser has to send your IP address so the server knows where to send the page. Our web host keeps a short technical log of this to keep the site running and safe.
  • 5. Game links take you to other websites. When you press a button to play a game on its official site, you leave FlintVolley. That game site has its own privacy rules.
  • 6. You have legal rights. You can ask us questions about your data or make a complaint by email at any time.

PECR Compliance · Terminal Equipment

No Cookies, No Local Storage, No Third-Party Scripts

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), websites must ask for consent before storing non-essential information on your device or reading information from it. FlintVolley is engineered so that nothing is stored on or read from your device:

  • No HTTP cookies: Neither first-party nor third-party cookies are set when you visit any page on flintvolley.com.
  • No browser storage: We do not write to localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB or browser caches for tracking.
  • No analytics or ad networks: We run no visitor counters, heatmaps, tracking pixels or behavioural advertising scripts.
  • Self-hosted assets: Every font, illustration, character cut-out, video and stylesheet is served directly from our own domain. Your browser never makes background requests to external font servers, content delivery networks or social media widgets while browsing our pages.

Browser Signals · Ephemeral Preferences

Theme, Reduced Motion & Automated Decisions

Our pages automatically respect your device's built-in display and motion settings without saving a preference file or cookie:

  • Light, dark and contrast modes: Standard CSS media queries (such as prefers-color-scheme) adapt to your operating system's current appearance settings directly in your browser's memory.
  • Reduced motion: If your device has prefers-reduced-motion: reduce enabled, the opening stadium video pauses automatically and scroll transitions remain still. If you press the pause or play button on the opening hero video, that choice lasts only while the page stays open in your tab and is never written to storage.
  • No automated decision-making or profiling: We do not carry out any automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 of the UK GDPR.Every visitor sees the exact same match card and verified game facts.

Section II · Technical Processing & Governance

Who Is Responsible, What Is Logged & Why

Every website on the internet relies on standard network requests between your browser and a web server. Here is who operates FlintVolley and how those technical requests are handled.

Server Telemetry · Minimal Data

2. What Data Is Processed

We process only the minimal technical server logs that a web host automatically keeps when your browser loads a page. To load any website on the internet, your browser has to send your IP address and request headers so the server can return the page to your screen. You do not have to give us anything else.

Logged Technical Fields:

We keep no visitor logs of our own. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare processes technical request data: IP address, time of the request, the page requested, and browser and device type.

If you choose to write to us by email at [Contact email], we will also receive your email address and the message you send so that we can reply to you.

UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f) · Purpose & Lawful Basis

3. Why It Is Processed & Our Lawful Basis

Technical server logs are processed strictly for three operational purposes:

  • Delivering the site: Routing HTML pages, illustrations and stylesheets back to your browser accurately.
  • Keeping the site secure: Detecting and blocking malicious traffic, automated attacks, denial-of-service floods and unauthorised access attempts.
  • Fixing faults: Diagnosing broken links, server errors or network bottlenecks so pages remain reliable.

Lawful basis: We rely on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR. Our legitimate interests are the secure, stable operation of a public web server, protection of our infrastructure against cyber attacks, and maintenance of technical reliability. Because only standard request metadata is logged for a short window and never used to profile visitors, these operational interests do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.

Infrastructure & Lifecycle · Processor & Retention

4. Who Receives It, International Transfers & How Long

Hosting Provider (Processor) & Transfers
Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. The site is delivered from Cloudflare's global network, including data centres outside the UK and Canada; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension.
Log Retention Period
We keep no server logs. Cloudflare keeps request data only for as long as its privacy policy (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy) sets out for security and network operations.

Our hosting provider acts as a data processor under written data protection terms, processing server logs solely to deliver and protect the website on our instructions. Where our hosting infrastructure involves an international transfer of technical log data outside the United Kingdom, that transfer is protected by a UK-recognised legal safeguard — such as a UK Adequacy Regulation (including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) / UK Addendum to Standard Contractual Clauses — as detailed in the hosting provider statement above.

We never sell, rent or share server logs with advertisers or data brokers.

Boundary Line · Independent Third-Party Websites

FlintVolley is an independent guide and match-programme. We do not host playable game files inside frames on our domain. Instead, each featured game card — including HaxBall, Ping Pong Go!, Soccer Bros, Basket Bros, Basketball Stars, Baseball Bros, Retro Bowl, Mini Golf Club and Speed Stars — provides a direct outbound link to that game's official website or publisher store page.

When you follow a link to an external game website, you leave flintvolley.com. Those external websites are operated by independent developers, publishers or platforms that have their own privacy policies, cookie notices and terms of use. We do not control how external sites collect or use your data, and we encourage you to check the privacy policy and cookie settings on any destination site you visit. To help you decide before clicking through, every game card on our Match Card displays a verified emerald facts strip stating whether the game has in-game purchases, adverts, accounts or chat.
